Ferrexpo, Ukraine’s most widely held and traded stock, shot up 5.4% on Thursday, snapping a five session streak of declines
KYIV, Oct 13, 2017 – Concorde Capital provides more details in its daily market comment below: Ukrainian equities continued to move in different directions on Thursday, Oct. 12. The WIG Ukraine Index of Warsaw-traded stocks inched up 0.1%, led by sugar producer Astarta (AST PW). Its stock rose 1.7%, extending its hot streak to five sessions at a 6.1% gain. Investors weren’t impressed with Kernel’s announcement of a new crushing plant project, dropping it 0.8% and extending its cold streak to five sessions at an 8.6% loss. Traders took their profit off farmer Agroton (AGT PW), which slid 3.2% after surging in a four-session hot streak. In London, investors went bargain-hunting for iron ore miner Ferrexpo (FXPO LN), which improved 5.4% and snapped a five-session cold streak.
