Ukraine to complete disposal of solid rocket fuel in 2013

2012/1/27 18:53:59

“We hope to complete technological preparation by the third quarter of this year”

KYIV, January 27, 2012 (UBO) – The State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) is planning to complete in 2013 the disposal of the bulk of solid rocket fuel extracted from decommissioned RS-22 intercontinental ballistic missiles, Yuriy Alekseyev, SSAU chairman said, UkrInform reported.

“In 2011, we changed and corrected a program for the disposal of solid rocket fuel. Last year's additional funding of five million dollars helped us reduce the delay. We hope to complete technological preparation by the third quarter of this year and completely dispose of the bulk of solid rocket fuel in 2013,” Alekseyev said.
