UkrAgroConsult economists have completed reconfiguration of the UAIndex to reflect the changes brought about by the Alpcot Agro buy-out of Landkom International.
KYIV, Jan. 27, 2012 (UBO/UkrAgroConsult) – Effective with today’s UAIndex report, the analysts at UkrAgroConsult have reconfigured the Index’s calculations to include the results of trading in stocks Alpcot Agro, which has completed its takeover of Landkom International.
This reconfiguration means that in addition to those stocks traded on the Warsaw, Frankfurt, Paris and London exchanges, the Index now includes Alpcot, which is traded on three different exchanges. A decision was made that reporting trading of Alpcot shares on the Stockholm exchange would produce the result that most accurately reflected the impact of Alpcot on the Ukrainian agricultural situation. UAIndex editor Bohdan Chomiak said he believes the changes will make the Index an even better representation of Ukraine’s dynamic situation with agricultural production, processing and domestic/export trade.
