KYIV, Sep 19, 2017 - Ukraine’s Finance Ministry is planning to issue new Eurobonds with ultimate maturity in 2032 and amortization of principal with equal semi-annual portions starting in 2031, Concorde Capital informed clients based on an Interfax news agency report that cited sources in the banking sector. On a preliminary basis, the yield of the new bonds is set at 7.75%, or the same rate that was applied to Eurobonds that were issued in 2015 as part of the government’s debt restructuring.

The total amount of the bond issue has been not decided yet. Most of the proceeds from the new bond placement will be used to repay the bonds maturing in 2019 (USD 1.82 bln outstanding) to those who will agree to sell them at a price of 106% of par. The deadline for offering the 2019 bonds to the government expired on Sept. 15, and MinFin has yet to disclose the offer's results.
