Adventists to hold a scientific conference on journalism and media-service

From RISU:

 

An international scientific conference "Journalism, Media Service and Media Education" will be held on October 18 at the Ukrainian Humanities Institute (Bucha, Kyiv region), the main university of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ukraine.

 

Invited to the conference are scientists, post-graduate students, doctoral students, university lecturers, journalists, media specialists, "Religion in Ukraine" has reported, quoting the press service of the Adventists.

 

Questions for discussion at the event:

1. Christian journalists and teachers in the context of mass media transformation

The Challenges of Modern Journalism and the position of Christian journalists and journalism teachers.

The typology of Christian media and the main characteristics of the Hope Channel network.

 

2. Department of Media Communications (Journalism) at the Christian Higher Educational Institution

Educational programs at Christian universities: media literacy, media education, journalism.

Features of educational programs for the training of journalists and specialists in media communications at the Christian higher education institution.

Problems of specialization and competencies in the training of journalists.

Interaction of the Department of Media Communications with the local community and local media.

 

3. Collaboration of the national structures of the Hope Channel network with the departments of media communications and journalism

The mission and audience of national television and radio stations of Hope Channel and other Christian media.
