The role of the Young European Ambassadors (YEA) is to represent the youth of their countries and network with young people from the European Union and the Eastern Neighbourhood countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). They exchange experience, discuss matters of direct concern to young people, share best practices and work together for a better future.

Between 10 and 20 Young European Ambassadors have been appointed for each Eastern Neighbourhood country and for the European Union Member States, including 'National Coordinators' for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The National Coordinators are the main points of contact between the Young European Ambassadors of their country and the Network Coordinators, based in Brussels.
