Parubiy expressed thanks to Roman Catholics in general and to Pope Francis in particular for strong humanitarian support to victims of the Russian aggression in Donbas during a meeting with Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, generally regarded as the second most important official in the Roman church.

On June 5, this year, Chairman of Ukrainian Parliament Andriy Parubiy met with Secretary of State of the Holy See (Head of Government) Cardinal Pietro Parolin during a visit to Vatican City.
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues such as interfaith dialogue and the strong humanitarian initiative of Pope Francis - “Pope for Ukraine” - which has been and remains an important gesture of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
Parubiy thanked the Vatican and personally Pope Francis for a strong humanitarian support to victims of the Russian aggression in Donbas.
