From RISU, Jan 15, 2018 - From the very beginning of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, terrorists and ammunition were located in the churches of the UOC (the Moscow Patriarchate), in particular the Svyatohirsk Lavra in Donbas. Major-General of the Armed Forces Ihor Hordiychuk stated this during a live broadcast on ATR, Channel 24 reported. “In the first days of the war, I asked for permission to lead radio interception groups. We made several radio interceptions in Kramatorsk, Slovyansk, where the Chechen detachment of the special forces, Kadyrov’s units, were located in one of our most valuable shrines - the Svyatohirsk Lavra,” said Hordiychuk. The Major-General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that confirmations were found from different angles. According to Hordiychuk, he brought evidence to the authorities, claiming that there were more than a hundred terrorists with their weapons and ammunition in the caves.
