Ukrainian Film Club Event offers a look at the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1920 Marking the 100th anniversary of the Ukrainian Revolution, the Ukrainian Film Club of Columbia University starts a unique series of rare silent films screenings and discussions that feature the events of and around the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1920 The first such event is: Newly Restored Unknown Ukrainian Silent Film You Won't See It Anywhere Else TWO DAYS 1927, director Heorhiy Stabovyi There are only so many silent films extant today. It is an extremely rare occurrence that an unknown silent film is unearthed in the archives. This is exactly one such occasion. "Two Days" is completely unknown in the world. This psychological drama is about a father at odds with his own son who sides with the Bolshevik revolution while his father remains faithful to the old order. The political awakening that the father undergoes under the influence of the stormy events of the Russian Soviet re-conquest of Ukraine in 1918-1920 will move even the most indifferent of hearts.
